Intentional vs. Unintentional Psychic Attacks

When most people hear the words psychic attack, they picture someone deliberately working against them — a person who dislikes them, an enemy, someone with bad intentions. While that does happen, it's actually the less common of the two types. The majority of psychic attacks people experience in their daily lives aren't deliberate at all. They come from ordinary people having ordinary human emotions, and that's what makes them so easy to miss.

Unintentional Attacks

Every thought carries energy, and every emotion amplifies it. When someone feels jealous of you, angry at you, or holds a quiet resentment toward you, that feeling generates real negative energy. They aren't doing anything intentional with it. They're just feeling it, and feeling it strongly. Because energy follows thought, that energy has to go somewhere, and it goes in the direction of the person it's focused on. This is an unintentional psychic attack. The person sending it usually has no idea it's happening, and neither does the person receiving it. It's one of the most common forms of energetic disruption there is, and it happens between friends, family members, coworkers, and strangers every single day.

There are also people in the world who carry genuine psychic ability without knowing it. When someone like that fixates on anger or resentment toward another person, the energy they generate is stronger than average simply because of the natural ability behind it. They aren't trying to attack anyone. They're just feeling their feelings, unaware that those feelings are landing somewhere.

Intentional Attacks

Intentional attacks are a different matter entirely. This is when someone makes a deliberate choice to direct negative energy toward another person, whether through focused thought, visualization, or some form of spell or magical working. There are people who are skilled at this and know exactly what they're doing. The intention behind the attack makes it more concentrated and more directed than the unintentional kind, which is why intentional attacks tend to hit harder and last longer.

There is something important to understand about sending negative energy toward another person on purpose. That energy doesn't disappear once it leaves you. It creates karma, and karma returns to its source. If the person you're targeting knows how to protect themselves, that negative energy can be deflected and sent back to you. In many traditions it is said to return threefold, meaning what you put out comes back to you multiplied by three. So if you send harm, you receive three times that harm in return. This isn't punishment from an outside force. It's simply how energy works.

This is one of the core reasons this work matters. The goal of building a spiritual practice is to raise your vibration. Your vibration is the energetic frequency you operate at, and the higher it is, the more easily you can connect with the divine and attract positive experiences into your life. Negative energy lowers that frequency, whether you're the one sending it or receiving it. Protecting yourself from what comes in and being mindful of what you send out are two sides of the same practice, and you cannot do one without the other and expect real results.
